Artist Statement
In making artwork I pay no mind to beauty or fact, just if the work is true to me. If I remain faithful to myself
then I remain faithful to my craft and its audience. I base my art more on ways like thinking of the magic in the ground that makes flowers grow rather than the aesthetics of their petals. Experiences at work, play, in relationships, traveling and music are the essence of my identity, which in turn is the essence of my artwork. The objects I make come merely from my mind with these inspirations and through my hands with the technical support I have acquired. The final product will be different if I think of the sun rather than the idea of light or a field of grain or the single loaf of bread.
